End to crisis in Madagascar risks being derailed, President Marc Ravalomanana calls on SADC to discipline mediator, Leonardo Simao
An end to the 27-month political crisis in Madagascar is very close if SADC’s mediators properly implement the decisions taken by Heads of State and governments at the body’s Sandton Summit on June 11 and 12, says President Marc Ravalomanana.
“SADC’s decisions are clear and simple. The leader of the coup d’etat in our country has to accept my unconditional return to contest internationally supervised, free-and-fair elections; and we have to accept that he will be the President of an inclusive, transparent, consensual, Government of Transition; which will lead the country to the election.
